Contemporary British Painting Prize 2024
Artist Daniel H Bell is the prizewinner of the 2024 CBP Prize, receiving £8000, an essay written about his painting practice by Louisa Buck (writer and broadcaster), membership to Contemporary British Painting and to be one of the selectors for the 2024 CBP Prize.
Olivia Sterling was awarded the ‘Highly Commended’ prize.
The judges also made a special mention of Lothar Götz.
The Blyth Gallery Exhibition Award
Congratulations to Sophia Rosenthal, the winner of the Blyth Gallery Exhibition Award announced by the gallery curator Mindy Lee. Sophia will receive the opportunity to exhibit at Blyth Gallery, Imperial College, London.
The Judith Tucker Memorial Prize
The winners of the inaugural Judith Tucker Memorial Prize will be announced on November 30th at the opening of the Sheffield showing of the prize at Persistence Works.’

The winner was announced on Saturday 14 September 2024 at BayArt Gallery. The exhibition tours to Thames-Side Studios Gallery, London, followed by Huddersfield Art Gallery Curates at Yorkshire Artspace: Persistence Works, Sheffield.

The seventeen shortlisted artists were selected by a group of practicing painters, all members of Contemporary British Painting: Natalie Dowse, Rich Jellyman (winner of the 2023 prize), Andrew Litten and Molly Thomson.
