The Contemporary British Painting Prize 2024 catalogue features the work of the 17 finalists and includes an introduction by Molly Thompson and texts on the Blyth Gallery Exhibition Award and the Judith Tucker Memorial Prize.
The 17 shortlisted finalists for the 2024 Contemporary British Painting Prize 2024 are:
Simon Averill, Ruth Bateman, Daniel H Bell (First Prize Winner), Eric Butcher, Alison Critchlow, Zavier Ellis, Lothar Götz (Judge’s special mention), Andy Harper, Davina Jackson, Angela Lizon, Lily Macrae, Dougal McKenzie, Harriet Mena Hill, Sophia Rosenthal, Olivia Sterling (Highly Commended Painter), Simon Taylor, Polly Townsend.
The second edition will be launched at Thames-side Gallery on 1st November and will include an essay by Louisa Buck on this year’s prizewinner, Daniel H Bell.
